The STRIDE Interactive Map is now online, offering an interactive way to explore educational inequalities and education policy reforms across Europe.
The map brings together 138 educational inequality indicators and 431 educational policy reforms in two linked environments: the Indicators Interface and the Policy Reform Interface.
Explore educational inequalities
The Indicators Interface allows users to explore educational inequalities through interactive visualisations and comparisons.
The indicators come from four large-scale international assessment surveys: the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS), the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS), the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS).
Users can compare countries, explore inequalities across different dimensions and access downloadable data for further analysis and reporting.
Information is also available for each of the 138 indicators, providing users with further details about the data they are exploring.
Explore education policy reforms.
The Policy Reform Interface allows users to explore education policy reforms and examine them alongside educational inequality indicators.
One feature of the STRIDE Interactive Map is the connection between policy reforms and indicators. This allows users to explore policy reforms alongside changes in educational inequality indicators over time and investigate possible relationships between policy interventions and developments in educational inequalities.
By bringing indicators and policy reforms together, the STRIDE Interactive Map provides an integrated environment for exploring educational outcomes, inequalities and policy developments and supports evidence-based education policy analysis.
