Project Stages
Stage 1 – Mapping Longitudinal Trends
In the first stage, STRIDE explores how policies and educational inequalities have evolved over time across Europe and how they shape education systems.
STRIDE will map long-term trends in policy across different sectors and inequalities in educational achievements to identify patterns and compare existing and previous European policy initiatives and interventions. By bringing all this together, STRIDE highlights the key factors linked to educational inequalities and presents them in an interactive map.
Stage 2 – Identifying Effective Policy Initiatives and Interventions
The second stage focuses on finding what actually works to reduce inequalities in education. STRIDE will identify effective policy initiatives and interventions that compensate for inequalities in individual learning outcomes. It will include qualitative analysis at system level and analysis of longitudinal data following learning achievement of individual students
By combining these approaches, STRIDE identifies the policies and interventions that are most effective in supporting equal learning opportunities.
Stage 3 – Provision of Tools for Policy Makers
STRIDE will produce tools for policy makers in two forms with a toolbox based on the project’s research and participants’ input and a series of multilingual policy briefs produced together with national stakeholders to share key insights clearly and accessibly.
STRIDE investigation includes research in three stages and applies several innovative research methods. These outputs are created through collaboration with stakeholders and experts at both national and European levels, ensuring that the results are relevant, usable, and impactful.
